St. Cunegonde to Uttenreuth
Johannes Schreiber, an artist from Bamberg, was allowed a particularly sensitive creative task in the cath. St. Cunegonde to Uttenreuth (East of Erlangen).
The two choir windows were closed only with industrial glass as the church built was in the 60s.
The congregation wanted that church windows to meet the liturgical needs and the mood of the church today.
Johannes Schreiber selects the implementation of his designs, the glass painting as well as airbrush and sandblasting.
Due to the chosen technique and the size of the windows an approval in the individual case by the chief Bavarian Building Authority was necessary. The window surface is approximately 38 m2, the largest panes are 1,285 mm x 3,075 mm. As basic glass, 10 mm white glass was used.
After the artistic processing the panes were processed to ESG-H, and then combine with a clear opposite pane also made of 10 mm ESG-H to a double glazing and was assembled by us.
